Artist Turns Life-Size Origami Into Dramatic Paper Costumes Worn For Ballet Dancers


Origami, fashion and ballet dancers are an unlikely trio.  Except if you’re Montreal-based artists Melika Dez and Pauline Loctin who have combined their imaginations into a creative collaboration called PLI.Ē Project.

The project fuses Dez’s skills as a movement photographer with Loctin’s expertise in paper art, and showcases dancers around the world wearing hand-folded paper costumes.
