We all know that nature gives us some of the most weird and wonderful flora and fauna.
However this little guy – known as the mysterious Venezuelan Poodle Moth – may take the cake as one of the most unusual. Looking like a Pokemon/Furby/Fairy mix, this creature was first discovered in 2009 by zoologist Arthur Anker of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, who took an enigmatic snapshot of the strange little guy quickly made its rounds online.
It is so rare enough that photos of it only surface occasionally, and in doing so baffle the internet and confuse the general public who often regard it as fiction rather than fact.
Every now and then when images do emerge, they continue to send the interwebs all a flutter, adding to the elusive mystery that surrounds this strange little moth creature.
